The royal astrologers, however, saw something more: a prophecy that spoke of a great force of power arising from within the royal family, a power that could either save or doom the kingdom.

The Curse of the Phoenix

While Reachny possessed the ability to control fire, she also carried a darker burden—the curse of the Baksey Plerng, the Fire Phoenix. But the phoenix was a creature of both life and destruction. Though it gave its bearer immense power, it also consumed them slowly, burning them from within until only ashes remained.

As Reachny came of age, she struggled to control her powers. Her fiery temper and impulsive nature led to accidents that endangered those she loved.
